I graduated from the University of Missouri with a BS. I studied Interior Design and worked in the design industry for 10 years. I also have a passion for photography, books & chocolate. I fill my days working at the public library, meeting friends for lunch, reading, & keeping my family fed. I look forward to meeting you and creating a sign that you will love! FAQ
What are your signs made of?
My signs are painted (no vinyl) on solid, select pine wood. There are no knots in the grain. The wood is approx. 3/4" thick.
How long does it take to order a sign?
Usually signs ship 3-4 weeks from payment of invoice. During the holiday rush, it can take up to 4-6 weeks.
Why do I have to pay for the sign before you make it?
Since most of the signs are custom, it's just good business.
How do I order a sign?
Email me at [email protected].
Do you send a proof?
I do. After the invoice is paid, I will design your sign, send a proof for approval before painting the sign.
What happens if you (the client) make a mistake?
Once a sign is painted, there is no way to "fix it". I will have to re-make the sign with the correction. I try to make this very clear on the invoice. A re-make costs the same as the original sign. This is why it is so important to provide me with correct information, dates, and spellings.
What happens if I (Hawthorne Designs) make a mistake?
I will fix (re-make) the sign and ship it within a week.
